Nexus 5 Force OTA Lollipop Update

Google recently pushed the Android 5.0 a.k.a Lollipop update to it's previous generations of Nexus devices. While all are enjoying the taste of lollipop on their devices some fans out their are still waiting for the update to pop-up. 

Here in this article their are few tips to get your update if you are not able to update conventionally. Follow the below steps of your device says that it's on latest version of Android but what you've got is 4.4.4.

To force the OTA update follow the following steps :

1. Go to Settings-> Apps->All->Google Play Services-> click manage space and clear data.
2. Go to Google Services Framework ->clear data-> force stop
3. Go to Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates (it should say last checked in 1970 or so)
4. Click on check now.. (Note: Keep refreshing and the update will be pushed to your device)

Keep trying these steps until you get the update pushed.
When the update is pushed download it and be sure that you have approx 500 Mb of free storage space to be able to download the update.
Once the download is finished just follow the onscreen instructions to update..

Voila you just updated to lollipop.
